The Department of Social Services is participating in the twelfth edition of the Suburbs Festival, organized by the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, during the period from 8 to 29 December, in Al-Qarayen Park 4. The Department participates through a special pavilion that presents a series of various activities, programs and various workshops. The Department is keen to continue its annual participation in this public festival, which is considered one of the most prominent social events in the Emirate of Sharjah. Maryam Al-Qaseer, Director of the Social Education Department at the Department of Social Services, stated that the Dawahi Festival is an opportunity to communicate with the public and raise the level of awareness in society. The activities presented are also a bridge between the Department and community groups, which contributes to spreading awareness, promoting values ​​in an innovative way, and encouraging individuals to participate. In interactive activities and workshops, stressing that these events cater to communication with groups of children and families. The activities that the department will present during the festival include several diverse items, including programs to instill noble moral values, prevention and protection programs, and workshops with the participation of the department’s production center, which amount to about 132 diverse family and educational programs in addition to the practical workshop. Some of the programs are “My Rights” and “My Rights.” Parental relations, skills enhancement programs entitled “Creativity,” “National Identity,” and “Digital Safety,” “Intaj” workshop, “Children’s Rights,” the “Young Volunteer” and Friendship program, “Taj Al-Mehan” workshop, and “Chimney Decorating” for the elderly.
