The Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work, affiliated with the Department of Social Services, participated in the “Beaches Without Violations” event, organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in cooperation with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the Takatuf Social Volunteer Programme. The event was held at Al Heera Beach on 11-11-2023, where the volunteer team from the center made efforts to clean the beach and contribute to enhancing environmental conservation. The team is preparing to continue volunteering at Al-Khan Beach on 17-11-2023 and Al-Mamzar Beach on 5-12-2023. . This participation comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to contribute to protecting the environment and improving the quality of the beaches of the Emirate of Sharjah, in conjunction with the initiative itself, which is held at the state level. Highlighting joint efforts Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, said that these volunteer activities come out of a keenness to highlight joint efforts and make the events hosted by the United Arab Emirates a success, in preparation for the International Conference on Climate Change “COP 28”, which the Emirates will host from November 30 to December 12. Coming to Expo City Dubai, as it is a global conference that unites efforts to address the repercussions of climate change. Hessa Al Hammadi expressed the pride of the volunteers of the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work in this national opportunity, and to participate in these events as an affirmation of their commitment to supporting efforts to preserve the aesthetics of the terrestrial and marine environment, as the Center cooperates with government agencies to enhance environmental awareness and effective participation in environmental initiatives.
