The Department of Social Services in Sharjah, represented by Dar Al-Aman, organized the “Back to School” celebration under the slogan “We are ready.” The celebration was held in the Wasit suburb. Fatima Ismail, Director of Dar Al-Aman, said that the “Ready” celebration comes within the framework of the Social Services Department’s keenness to continuously enhance communication with needy families, and is also part of its various contributions to social responsibility that focus on bringing about positive change in society. In addition to being part of the celebration of the students’ return to school, the end of the summer vacation and preparation for the start of the new academic year 2022-2023, we wish them continued success in their academic achievement. The celebration lasted throughout the morning in the suburb (Wasit Suburb), and included many activities of distinctive cultural, recreational and health activities with the aim of making children and their families happy, where they and their relatives gathered, and enjoyed the artistic workshops that gave them the opportunity to make innovative artistic creations, such as the “My School Bag” workshop. And writing positive words and phrases that support them to welcome the school year with love and tenderness, and coloring the phrases and pictures to welcome the new academic year. The social educator, Muhammad Ali Mubarak, affiliated with the Social Education Department, presented the educational program “How to welcome the new academic year,” in addition to the educational program “No to Bullying,” in which children participated. On the other hand, social counseling was provided to a number of participating families by experts and specialists in the department, in order to provide advice, guidance and advice to guide them in a positive way that benefits their children and their families. The children participated in the medical examination corner for dental examinations, in addition to various other examinations of vital signs and body mass index, which were presented to children and families. During the celebration, tips for healthy school nutrition were presented by specialists at the "Ideal Weight" Center. At the end of the event, school bags and gifts were distributed to children and families for their participation in the “Ready” activity.
