The Sustainability Committee of Al Hamriya Cultural and Sports Club, in cooperation with the Department of Social Services, launched the "We Listen and Protect" initiative. A meeting was held to launch the initiative, in the presence of Dr. Sultan Fayez Al Shamsi, Consultant for Quality and Excellence at Al Hamriya Club, and Badria Al Hosani, Head of the Child Rights Protection Department at the Department of Social Services. The “We Listen and Protect” initiative aims to create specialized channels concerned with child protection, listen to and study his concerns, provide psychological and community counseling by accredited specialists, in addition to submitting recommendations to the Board of Directors to deal with them according to the procedures approved by him. Dr. Sultan Al Shamsi said that the initiative will create a neutral and specialized channel for players of all stages to raise their concerns and observations, whether they are to their colleagues, coaches, supervisors or team administrators. Dr. Al Shamsi stressed that once the player's note is reached, the latter will receive immediate advice and guidance from the specialists, after which the note will be transferred along with the consultation to the leaders according to a safe path, with the aim of providing the highest levels of protection and governance for the process. He added, "We listen and protect" will also work to provide lectures and educational workshops in the field of ethics, behaviors and values ​​for all categories of the club's family, thanking the Social Services Department for its continuous close cooperation with the Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club. It is noteworthy that the "We Listen and Protect" initiative comes within the efforts of the Sustainability Committee of Al Hamriya Club, for the Sharjah Council Award for Sports Sustainability, which among its objectives is to promote values, ethics and governance.
