3871 agricultural seedlings were distributed to senior citizens as part of the "You Are Our Paradise" initiative launched by the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, as part of a series of social responsibility projects, with the aim of providing community and recreational support to 3871 parents and senior citizens who benefit from the department's services across the emirate. Where 387 volunteers registered at the Sharjah Volunteer Center in the department distributed agricultural seedlings to families in the city of Sharjah and its affiliated cities, Hamriyah, Khor Fakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, Kalba, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Maliha, and Al Bataeh. By the way, Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion, said that working to provide agricultural seedlings for the homes of senior citizens helps improve the environment around them, because farming and working on the land is something they like, making them remember the past, when people depended on agriculture and diving for their livelihoods, We chose the sapling as a symbol of giving, as well as contributing to adding joy to them on their international day, and to make them happy by distributing gifts that reach their homes and sow joy in their souls, and to support and integrate senior citizens of parents into society. Al Hammadi indicated that the distribution of seedlings began two days ago, and several parties participated in the social responsibility by providing seedlings, namely the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Emirates Tree Nursery, Wilderness, Sharjah Municipality, Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Municipal Affairs, Agriculture and Livestock Department, and farms Al Qaidi Nurseries.
