The fund contains an Eid for children, as part of the "Joy of Eid" initiative organized by the Department of Social Services eight years ago. This was stated by Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Social Cohesion in the department, noting that the boxes will be distributed to the homes of needy families benefiting from the department's services. Al Hammadi indicated that the volunteers play an important role in this initiative, because the distribution tasks will fall on their shoulders on the first day of Eid Al-Adha. The role of the volunteer lies in receiving the gift boxes from the starting point in the Wasit suburb, and the distribution will be made to the homes of the children’s families in Sharjah and its affiliated cities from its side Maryam Al Shamsi, director of the Social Services Department in Hamriyah, and responsible for the "Joy of Eid" initiative, said that this initiative is one of a series of community projects implemented by the department throughout the year, within the framework of social responsibility that contributes to the happiness of individuals, in order to enhance the principles of compassion and communication between members of society. to promote social work. She emphasized that the initiative targets children affiliated with the Department of Social Services from one year old to 18 years old.
