The production center at the Department of Social Services in Sharjah contributes to raising the income level of 190 families registered with the center by enabling them to benefit from their own resources and transform them into productive families that contribute effectively to the economic and social development of the country. Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of the Production Center said: “The center has worked since its inception to promote the idea of ​​home production because of its opportunities to increase the income of families benefiting from the social assistance in the department and enable them, leading them to independence and a decent life, and encouraging self-sufficiency, through an integrated system provided by the center. It aims to train and qualify families benefiting from social benefits, and provide opportunities to market their products through organizing exhibitions, and work to improve products to raise their competitiveness, in order to meet the needs of the local market, and to offer products and services of competitive quality bearing the brand. Al-Hammadi said that the production center has implemented 169 training workshops for productive families, 128 of which are in the professional practical side, and 41 others in the administrative side, which are specialized workshops, such as courses in incense making and cooking, training families on how to market and sell, setting pricing and dealing with the customer.
