The Department of Social Services in Sharjah organized; In cooperation with Horizon University College, a workshop on the concept of “The Basics of Artificial Intelligence” was attended by 40 of the department’s beneficiaries and a number of community members of various other age groups, via the virtual platform Zoom. The workshop comes within the framework of a series of training courses and workshops organized by the department within the "learn" program, an educational initiative that aims to develop and refine the skills of the department's employees of different age groups. The workshop was presented by Dr. Alaa Mustafa Al Momani, a lecturer at Horizon University College and holds a PhD in software engineering; A number of themes represented in the basics of artificial intelligence, how to learn machine, or deep learning, in addition to data science as well as big data. The workshop also touched on robots and their types, as well as the basic functions related to artificial intelligence, and the future of artificial intelligence on the individual, society and institutions.
