The Department of Social Services, in cooperation with the Sharjah Medical District, began receiving applications for vaccination of Covid 19 for senior citizens, including the handicapped, psychiatric patients and their families at home, after the completion of the training of the medical staff of the department in cooperation with the primary health care centers on the approved medical procedures for vaccination in all cities of the Emirate of Sharjah Where the vaccination service will be provided at home through the Department of Services for Senior Citizens, the Disabled, Psychiatric Patients and Their Families in Sharjah, and the Social Services Department Branch (Al-Dhaith, Al-Madam, Al-Bataih, Maliha, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al-Hisn, and Al-Hamriya). Afaf Ibrahim Al-Marri, Head of the Social Services Department in Sharjah stated that the department has worked since the beginning of the pandemic to launch many initiatives that guarantee the health and safety of senior citizens in the Emirate of Sharjah in light of the Corona epidemic through continuous cooperation with partners, foremost of which is the Sharjah Medical District, within the framework of ensuring the safety of Society and implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah - may God protect him and protect him - in providing the best health and social care services for senior citizens to relieve them and maintain their health and safety.
