Amina Al-Rifai indicated that some parents, whether intentionally or unintentionally, are promoting and distributing children's images through social media platforms with the aim of advertising something or marketing with a specific approach or highlighting special capabilities of the child which may negatively affect the psyche of children, and may be considered a kind of Abuse, especially in the event of repetition or an investigation of a specific matter. In all cases, the exploitation of children through social media platforms for unlawful purposes is punishable by law; if there is an intention to abuse according to Article 25, 26 of the Child Rights Law on how to exploit and abuse children within legal rights.
