A delegation of volunteer children from the Department of Social Services in Sharjah participated in the “10th Gulf Social Future Volunteer” forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is designed for children from the age group between 16 to 15 years old. The forum will continue from 18 to 8 January of this year. The volunteer forum programs organized by the Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work and the Princess Seetah Award for Excellence in Social Work include educational, extension and educational stations, in addition to field visits within the framework of social and volunteer programs that include social stations, health station, environmental station, scientific station, talent station and media station. Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, said that the department aims, through its participation in the Children's Voluntary Forum, to enhance the children's skills and confidence in themselves, stressing that the activities and programs of the forum come to complement the role of social work institutions in training on the concept of social work and spreading the culture of volunteer work among our children at this age.
