The initiative launched by the Department of Social Services aims to In Sharjah, orphans and low-income children benefit from the department's services in all the eight branches of the department spread in the emirate of Sharjah, in order to reinforce the principles of compassion and social communication among members of society. In a statement, Maryam Al Shamsi, the initiative's responsible and director of the department's branch in Al Hamriya, said that the first launch of the "Joy Initiative" was in 2014 in the Hamriyah branch with the aim of helping 14 children, while by the end of 2017, the number of beneficiaries reached more than 1400 children at the level of the emirate. Sharjah, while the campaign in 2018 aims to help more than 1500 children through 3 thousand funds. She pointed out that the main goal of the initiative is to enhance integration and solidarity among members of society by introducing joy and joy in the hearts of families who are deprived of social care and registered with the department, and to relieve them and make them feel that all segments of society stand with them. The initiative also aims to increase the awareness of governmental and non-governmental institutions. With social responsibility and strengthening aspects of volunteer work and mutual cooperation, as well as instilling a spirit of giving in members of society, whether they are adults or children. Al Shamsi added; The purpose of this initiative is to make the child happy by getting new clothes for Eid, similar to other children.
