The Department of Social Services in Sharjah announces its readiness to hold the "Services for the Elderly" forum in its 12th edition. The forum aims to shed light on the most prominent successful experiences and practices in the field of elderly care at the regional and international levels, as well as provide an opportunity to explore how to integrate technology into the care of the elderly, including the use of remote monitoring techniques and smart homes to improve their independence and comfort, and to adapt these successful models to Special Sharjah community contexts to improve the quality of life for the elderly community. Maha Mansour Al Ali, Director of the Government Communication Department and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said that the Elderly Services Forum is one of the events that the department organizes annually within the framework of celebrating the International Day for the Elderly, which would contribute to the exchange of best experiences, practices and innovations in the field of care and services for the elderly.
