The Department of Social Services in Sharjah revealed that it has developed a comprehensive plan for volunteer work with a focus on all groups of society through their participation in the volunteer field or providing services to groups that need help during the month of Ramadan, noting that (370) volunteers joined it to implement 6 projects in the month of Ramadan. Until the date of Ramadan 8, with a rate of (740) volunteer hours and in detail, the Director of the Volunteering Center at the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, Fayza Khabab, told "Emirates Today" that the center aims to organize volunteer work at the level of the emirate by attracting volunteers, training and qualifying them so that they are effective in society through their participation in opportunities Volunteering in various events and activities organized by government departments. And she continued: The department launched 6 pioneering and charitable projects during the month of Ramadan, and opened the way for all segments of society to volunteer and participate in the implementation of its programs. To their beauty during the past years, and it has sought to benefit from all the experiences, proposals and recommendations that provide an optimal environment for the elderly. She indicated that, since the beginning of the year, the department has provided 50 volunteer opportunities for different segments of society in which (44) volunteers participated, during which they accomplished 1909 volunteer hours, pointing out that the department launched during the month of Ramadan an initiative for fasting breakfast, as 3816 fasting breakfasts will be distributed at various intersections and in all The regions in the emirate are divided into 2600 different days with the participation of volunteers from various government departments, youth and children, by 6 volunteers every day who will distribute meals to those fasting before the sunset prayer, at a rate of (50) volunteer hours for each volunteer. She stated that the agenda of Ramadan initiatives for this year is wide, as gifts will be distributed as part of the "Love and Loyalty for Zayed" initiative on the 2th of Ramadan to members of the community in the emirate, pointing to another initiative entitled "The Joy of Eid" that targets 19 children, where boxes inside it will be distributed to them. Eid and clothes in preparation for the Eid in several stages, in addition to the launch of a new initiative to take needy families to the market to buy them their supplies for the Eid. She revealed the launch of the volunteer youth program "Mobaderoon", which targets adolescents between the ages of 3 and 13 years, during which the participant is provided with the volunteering skills that he must possess and connects with society, by involving him in 17 volunteering hours, pointing to the clinic initiative during Ramadan through Organizing 40 visits to patients in various hospitals in the emirate and presenting them with gifts on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, with (14) volunteer hours for each volunteer. She pointed to the voluntary initiative (Musanada), which falls under the category of nationwide service through partial work in the department and some administrative work, pointing to a volunteer opportunity (Fala Eid) by providing a basket of fruits and sweets for the employees of the Department of Social Security. She added that there is an annual initiative to organize the "Hassad" volunteer camp, which is one of the most prominent volunteering opportunities organized by the department's volunteer center for school students on their school holidays, over a period of two weeks. The camp aims to promote the culture of volunteering and extend a helping hand to school students to invest their spare time during the holidays. (2) volunteer hours for each young volunteer.
