The Department of Social Services in Sharjah revealed that it has decided on 2124 social assistance requests during this year 2021, based on its social responsibility towards individuals and groups concerned with their affairs, with the aim of providing the best and finest services, in order to achieve an attractive and healthy social environment, calling on individuals who are covered by the conditions. By submitting their applications through its outlets and branches at the level of the cities of the Emirate of Sharjah. Alia Al Zaabi, Director of the Social Aid Department, stated that this decision is not new to the department, which spares no effort to serve customers and beneficiaries of its services, but rather improve and develop many services to advance the members of society, in addition to the directives of the wise leadership of the Government of Sharjah, to work on the sustainability of this Services and their development to achieve a society that enjoys prosperity for its citizens, and this matter falls within the strategy of the UAE. Al-Zaabi added, in the recent period, specifically during the Corona pandemic, a lot of changes have occurred in society, with its groups and members, which required all institutions and sectors concerned with social affairs and others to develop alternatives that are commensurate with the precautionary measures, so that the wheel of life continues, and indeed the Department of Social Services in all its departments has dealt with the pandemic. Very carefully, and developed a contingency plan for the continuity of its work and not to stop it. And she added: Accordingly, the work of the department did not stop during the pandemic, but we created appropriate channels to provide these services, taking into account the preservation of the health of the beneficiaries of the services of the department, who number 9377 beneficiaries of various groups eligible for assistance. At the same time, we were keen to consolidate community partnerships with many institutions and departments in the country, through an integrated system to provide in coordination with these authorities.
