The Department of Social Licensing at the Department of Social Services in Sharjah organized the specialized workshop on the "Social Welfare Law" Law No. 6 of 2020 AD, which was issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding social welfare in the Emirate of Sharjah. It aims to: Protecting and caring for the social welfare deprived, encouraging and supporting families in foster care, integrating the social welfare deprived in society, and ensuring that the social welfare deprived enjoy a normal upbringing. Through the communication program “Zoom” to target professional groups working in the social field in the Emirate of Sharjah, and various members of society. Kholoud Al-Nuaimi stressed that the department seeks to provide high-end social care in accordance with best practices by enhancing knowledge and skills in accordance with the latest social professional practices that aim to enhance the quality of professional practice in social work, develop professional competencies for social workers, and develop visions that contribute to the progress and advancement of social professions. To advanced levels of quality and safety in a manner that guarantees the protection of individuals as well as the general interest of society, as well as promoting awareness of the importance of professional licensing to ensure the safety of vulnerable individuals and families in society. The Director of the Social Permits Department explained; Such specialized workshops are among the developmental programs and skills that are among the requirements for renewing social licenses, stressing that the department continues to enhance the service of licensing the practice of social professions in Sharjah, with the aim of legalizing social professions and organizing their mechanisms, and limiting them to academically and practically qualified professionals.
