Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler's Office, inaugurated the "Barakat Al Dar" Endowment Building in Al Majaz 2 area in Sharjah this morning, Thursday. The project was implemented as an endowment project in cooperation between the Department of Endowments and the Department of Social Services, at a cost of more than 37 million dirhams. The proceeds will be used to pay for all the needs, services, and requirements of the elderly and children who lack social care through the Department of Social Services. The Head of the Ruler's Office, accompanied by the attendees, toured a model of the residential units in the building and learned about the rooms and various facilities each unit includes for the comfort of residents. The building includes 15 repeated floors with residential units of different areas and sizes, in addition to 5 floors designated as parking spaces for residents, with a total of 85 spaces, and a ground floor that includes a number of shops and building management offices to provide the best services. The Department of Endowments had launched the "Barakat Al Dar" project, which falls under the umbrella of the Endowment of Parents, among its endowment projects, with the aim of urging and encouraging charitable people to revive the tradition of endowment. The inauguration was attended by Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mail, Head of the Social Services Department, Abdullah bin Yarouf Al Sabousi, Head of the Islamic Affairs Department, Talib Ibrahim Al Marri, Director General of the Awqaf Department, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and a number of senior officials.
