Volunteers from the Sharjah Voluntary Work Center, affiliated with the Community Cohesion Department at the Sharjah Social Services Department, participated in the community volunteering program of the Community Contributions Authority "Together", affiliated with the Abu Dhabi government concerned with receiving social contributions, as this came through the Food ATM initiative launched by the authority during the past month of Ramadan. Volunteers contributed to preparing, packaging, and distributing low-cost food meals, allocated to the working class with limited income in the capital, Abu Dhabi. Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, indicated that this cooperation reflects the importance of community partnerships that the department believes in and seeks to achieve at the state level, and she also stressed the role of such initiatives in encouraging community members to volunteer and establishing a culture of community cooperation in the UAE.
