32 volunteers from the paramedic and organizer category from the Sharjah Volunteer Work Center, affiliated with the Sharjah Social Services Department, participated in the activities of the Police Desert Park in its fifth edition for the year 2024, which was organized by the Sharjah Police General Command in the Al Kahif area in Al Bataeh from December 14 to January 5, 2025, under the slogan "Together.. Time is more beautiful", where many awareness programs and activities are held for children and their families throughout the event. According to Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, the tasks of the volunteers revolve around contributing to providing organizational and supervisory support in the park, in addition to providing ambulance services for any emergency cases in the park, as this activity falls within the framework of serving the nation, and the volunteer opportunity was raised by the Sharjah Police General Command in order to contribute to achieving community emergency preparedness and enhancing the principle of response and community relief and responding to crises and community emergencies. Especially since the park witnesses a large turnout from families and its activities are XNUMX% free, so the volunteer opportunity was allocated to volunteers who have a first aid license to participate in this activity.
