
The Social Education Department at the Sharjah Social Services Department participated in the 53rd UAE National Day celebrations from November 21 to December 2, 2024. The celebrations were launched at the National Park and organized by the Emirate’s Events and Activities Committee, where many competitions, prizes, interactive workshops and entertainment programs were organized that were designed to suit all ages. With the participation of social educators from the Social Education Department, these events aim to enhance the values of loyalty to the homeland and its wise leadership, and instill national identity in everyone’s hearts in a distinctive festive atmosphere that brings together citizens and residents of the country. Naema Al Zarouni, Director of the Social Education Department, stressed the great interest the department gives to celebrating this great day, which commemorates the historic anniversary of the unification of the seven emirates under the banner of one country on December 1971, XNUMX. She added that the Social Education Department has developed a special program for the occasion, to spread happiness on this day, which is celebrated not only by Emiratis but also by all residents of the country, as an expression of their loyalty to the country and our wise leadership. The events included programs that are closely related to the Emirati heritage in its most beautiful forms: the heritage tent, popular dishes, and popular clothing, in addition to popular heritage competitions. Al Zarouni added, “We also presented a program for professionals who have obtained professional licenses on Emirati culture and customs, as it is one of the conditions for obtaining a license to practice the profession.”
