The Sharjah Institute for Heritage hosted a number of beneficiaries of the Department of Social Services at Dibba Al-Hisn Branch in two cultural events, namely the “Bisharat Al-Qaidh” program and the “Types of Crafts and Professions among Women in the Ancient” workshop, at the Institute’s headquarters in Dibba Al-Hisn. The "Bshara Al-Qaidh" program came under the slogan "Umm Al-Naqi'", with the aim of promoting culture through heritage and the environment and educating society about the importance of preserving heritage. The program addressed the concept of “good news” as a term that refers to the beginning of the wet season, which reflects the connection of this season with our cultural heritage. As for the other workshop, which was entitled “Types of Crafts and Professions Among Women in Ancient Times,” it addressed the importance of the professions and crafts that women practiced in the past and how these professions affected their personality in terms of education, customs, culture, and heritage. The workshop was full of information that sheds light on the historical role of women. In trades and professions, it documents how these skills are transmitted across generations.
