The Department of Social Services in Sharjah honored the male and female students participating in the Kafaat Program for practical field training for the summer of 2024, as Kholoud Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Community Service Sector in the Department, honored the university students this morning (Thursday) in Aljada Hall. In her speech, Kholoud Al Nuaimi congratulated the students of universities, colleges and institutes who participated in the “Kafaat” program for practical field training for the summer of 2024, noting that this ceremony comes in appreciation of their efforts and the departments that contributed to training them and empowering them professionally and cognitively. She said: The “Kafaat” program has provided these students with an invaluable opportunity to apply what they have learned theoretically in their academic institutions, through field training programs that included many university specializations such as administrative and financial sciences, physical therapy, social and human specializations, computer science, media and relations. General, and others, numbering 108 male and female students, where trainees in this program spend between 40 and more than 330 training hours, or as specified by universities as a minimum number of training hours complementary to graduation requirements. She stated that the main objectives of the “Kafaat” program are to provide students with the opportunity to provide students with professional cognitive skills and translate them into practical practice, improve their theoretical skills and knowledge, and enable them to understand and deal with the challenges of field work. The program also aims to provide students with professional ethics that will be developed through field practice, which enhances the skills of regularity and accuracy in completing work. Other objectives include enhancing the student’s ability to understand the needs and characteristics of the environment in which he is supposed to work, the nature of work progress, and to communicate with customers, the community, and employees. She stressed that the program aims to enhance students’ ability to deal with challenges and professional pressures in the work environment, improve individual education skills, apply science and academic knowledge in the reality of work, improve advisory and analytical skills, and develop the ability to plan and implement effective social programs. At the end of her speech, she thanked the various departments and their functional cadres for their cooperation and contributions in enhancing the knowledge of the university student trainees at their various academic levels. The ceremony was attended by directors of homes, departments and branches affiliated with the department, who were also honored by the Department of Social Services. During the ceremony, a video was shown of the honored students who talked about their experience in the Kafaat program and its positive effects on their studies and professional future.
