The Friends of Cancer Patients Society and the Department of Social Services, represented by the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work, signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing volunteer work in supporting cancer patients and their families, and providing volunteers with the opportunity to join the Humanitarian Society’s programs, while providing training for volunteer cadres to enable them to participate effectively in community service. The agreement was signed by Aisha Al-Mulla, Director of the Friends of Cancer Patients Association, and Hessa Al-Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department in the Department of Social Services, in the presence of a number of department representatives to spread the culture of volunteering to serve the community. In addition, the agreement includes presenting the agenda of humanitarian and community initiatives organized by the association, through the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work platform, and providing the necessary support to the Friends of Cancer Patients Association by providing it with the volunteers needed to make these initiatives successful. The agreement also confirms that the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work will train and qualify cadres. Volunteering to enable them to participate effectively in community service, and to include the association’s data and statistics in volunteer work to make it available and useful to specialists and the public.
