On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the Department of Social Services in Sharjah will present the play “This is Our Oud Eid” for children on the stage of City Center Al Zahia, next Thursday, June 13, at five o’clock in the afternoon, and everyone is invited, especially the target group of young people. The Department of Social Services in Sharjah will present the play “This is Our Oud Eid” for children on the occasion of Eid Al Adha at the City Center Al Zahia Theater next Thursday, June 13, at five o’clock in the afternoon. The invitation is general to all, especially the target group: children. The play was prepared by the Department of Social Education in the department, based on the desire to present the department’s programs in innovative ways that attract children and deliver information to them in an interesting way that matches their age. A number of school students and parents participated in the theatrical performance. The play consists of 3 acting scenes that deal with the definition of Eid al-Adha, its occasion, and its difference from Eid al-Fitr. The play also deals with Eid preparations, how to receive guests, donations, visits to family, gathering with the elderly, in addition to “Eidiya” and congratulating pilgrims to the House of God, and other matters related to Islamic holidays. The play also expresses the importance of Eid Al-Adha and the value of goods and traditions associated with Emirati society. The play is presented by four main characters: the mother, who has a calm personality, Maryam’s maternal uncle, who is a social and emotional personality, the child Khaled, who is the beloved character in the family and has an enthusiastic spirit, and the child Dana, the calm personality who loves playing with her brother and helping people, in addition to the secondary characters.
