Al Qasimia University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Sharjah Voluntary Work Center of the Department of Social Services of the Government of Sharjah, concluded a memorandum of understanding, which comes within the framework of joint efforts and convergence of roles to serve the goals sought by both parties. The memorandum of understanding would work to consolidate and enhance cooperation and serve bilateral goals in the areas of benefiting from and developing volunteer opportunities. The memorandum of understanding was signed at the university’s headquarters in Sharjah, and the memorandum of understanding was signed by Professor Dr. Sulaiman Al-Sarayrah, Dean of Student Affairs at Al Qasimia University, and on behalf of the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work, Hessa Muhammad Al-Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department in the Department of Social Services, in the presence of Professor Ahlam bin Jarsh, Assistant Director of the University for Social Affairs. The memorandum stipulates coordination between the two sides and the effective participation of volunteers from Al Qasimia University students, providing them with skills to enhance social responsibility, cooperation in spreading the culture of volunteering in society through joint programs, and contributing to organizing awareness activities and programs for community members. The signed agreement called for cooperation between the university and the center in offering and managing volunteer opportunities and initiatives, and expanding the scope of volunteer work, within the framework of what the university seeks to motivate students to volunteer in all fields.
