In cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah, the Department of Social Services celebrated the graduation of the seventh batch of those who obtained a professional diploma in child protection, from the department’s employees working at the Center for Child and Family Protection. The ceremony was held at the University of Sharjah in the Colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences Complex, in Al Razi Hall. . Graduation certificates were honored and handed over to 15 graduates from the seventh batch of the Professional Diploma in Child Protection, with a total of 550 training hours. The program, which came through integration and cooperation between the Center for Continuing Education and the Department, aims to provide participants with concepts and skills related to the health, legal, legislative and educational aspects of child protection. On this occasion, Sumaya Al Hosani, Director of the Human Resources Department in the Department of Social Services, said that the employees affiliated with this program received teaching and training hours during the implementation period under the supervision of an elite group of qualified and experienced professors from the faculty members at the University of Sharjah and outside it. Al Hosani stated that the number of current graduates reached about 15 graduates for this batch of 7, while the total number of graduates since the launch of the program in 2018 AD reached about 92 graduates. This is an embodiment of the Department of Social Services’ keenness to cooperate with its strategic partners to provide social services and contribute to improving the quality of life for members of society, especially children and groups without social care, and to harness all capabilities in order to provide a better future and sustainable services. She added that these foundations must be established by highly qualified cadres to enrich the social field, take care of the affairs of all members of society, provide extensive care, and provide the components of human care, starting from childhood until old age. Al Hosani expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Master Education Center of the University of Sharjah for its unlimited efforts in enhancing and developing the skills of members and employees of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah.
