The Emirates Innovates 2024 activities were launched in the Emirate of Sharjah, where the Department of Social Services in Sharjah organized an exhibition of its new projects and initiatives dedicated to this occasion, in which the Department has been participating to introduce the public to its latest projects and initiatives that are presented to society with all its individuals and groups, as the Department of Social Services is keen to Participation in the Innovation Month, which is held at the state level, especially since it is consistent and compatible with the policy and direction of the Emirate of Sharjah, which is in a great race to innovate purposeful, advanced and modern projects that keep pace with the daily development taking place in the world that helps in achieving the vision that seeks to strengthen the social sector and support families and individuals. Those who need assistance, and it also meets the needs of the community of the Emirate of Sharjah and ensures their sustainable well-being by providing the finest services and solutions to the people of the community. The exhibition was held at the department’s main headquarters, and continues from February 15-21, and the initiatives and projects were presented electronically to the public. Electronic platforms were used to introduce the service or project, so that each service was explained to the public in a sequential manner. The projects are all modern and innovative, save a lot of effort and time, and also provide services in distinctive technical ways, which are first: the interactive volunteer work map, through which the locations of volunteer opportunities in the Emirate of Sharjah and its affiliated cities are identified, and the volunteer opportunities offered allow the volunteer to register in the volunteer opportunities. The map aims to enhance business flexibility and efficiency and focus on providing services to customers easily and conveniently. The second project is the digital media platform targeting media professionals and journalists, through which a request is submitted to conduct interviews and request reports, statements, statistics and news about the department, its branches, centers, social homes... And coordination with them within 48 hours. The platform is an innovation that facilitates procedures in any institution for journalists and media professionals dealing with it and ensures the governance of the services provided in a positive manner and in a technical manner that enhances the transparency of operations that focus on customers. This system has obtained an intellectual property right. The third project, whose mission was launched at the beginning of this year, is “Ambassadors of Digital Life,” which works to select and qualify 350 boys and girls, in addition to a group of children with disabilities, and all of them play the role of educators for their fellow school students on how to use social media safely. Everything related to digital aspects, the dangers of the Internet, blackmail, and avoiding electronic bullying, in an innovative manner in the nature of social education. The fourth project is “Digital Measurement of the Social Impact of Services,” which is an electronic system that monitors the social impact of services on beneficiaries, in order to achieve the goals of the Department, sustainable development, the National Agenda 2030, and the UAE Centennial 2071, to ensure enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of community and humanitarian services and overcoming challenges to meet the needs of... Individuals and empowering them to build their capabilities. The fifth project, which is (Digital Social Observatory), is a system that monitors social problems automatically, extracts statistics and results, and helps in identifying the most prominent trends in social problems, so that the results can be relied upon in developing therapeutic and preventive solutions in an accurate scientific manner. The “Community Responsibility Platform” is the sixth project of the Department. It is an electronic platform that allows entities and individuals to contribute to serving the community based on their responsibility towards it, whether by supporting the projects proposed by the Department in the field of social solidarity throughout the year or contributing to the development of society with innovative initiatives, or by sponsoring events. Events and activities held in the community in various fields, or by supporting community volunteer work and opportunities. The seventh project is “Employee Digital Performance,” which is an electronic system that monitors and evaluates employees’ performance of routine tasks in real time and is one of the most efficient and effective ways to use resources to simplify operations and stimulate productivity.
