The “Barakat Al-Dar” project is considered one of the social responsibility projects in the Department of Social Services in Sharjah. It aims to collect an amount of 3 million dirhams over a period of 3 years by launching a project to support shelters, and obtaining community support that covers the needs and requirements of the shelters by establishing endowment buildings that ensure Financial sustainability of this role. According to Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department in the department, the project is being implemented in cooperation with the Sharjah Endowments Department, which is responsible for endowment buildings in Sharjah. It also aims to urge and encourage philanthropists to revive the Sunnah of Endowment, and falls under the umbrella of the Endowment for Parents, as it specializes in building an endowment building, the proceeds of which will return. Social Responsibility The “Barakat Al-Dar” project falls within the scope of social responsibility, in which it partners with companies to carry out specific actions out of a sense of responsibility and adopt a self-organized (responsibility policy) towards society or towards the individuals surrounding it. Responsibility is divided into two types: The first type is (social responsibility), which consists of carrying out actions towards the individuals around them and aims for the well-being, strengthening relationships, developing their skills, and providing a safe environment for them. As for the second type, it is (social responsibility), which consists of five types: Participation in supporting projects proposed by Entities in the community, providing support for volunteer work in the community, sponsoring events and functions, providing community initiatives, and introducing sustainable operational initiatives. As for the expected results of the project, they are: providing continuous financial support to the shelters, covering the needs and requirements of the shelters, and establishing endowment buildings that ensure the material sustainability of the shelters.
