The Sharjah Voluntary Work Center, affiliated with the Sharjah Social Services Department, signed a cooperation agreement with the Sharjah Charitable Society at the association’s headquarters. The agreement aims to strengthen the principles of cooperation between the two parties, in a way that serves sustainable development and raises the level of services provided to society, by spreading the culture of volunteering in society through joint programs, and contributing to organizing awareness activities and programs for community members, in addition to organizing volunteer work with high efficiency and effectiveness, with Taking into account the rights and duties of volunteers and beneficiaries. The joint commitments between the two parties include holding periodic meetings to manage the annual planning of events and projects, following up on their implementation, cooperating in spreading the culture of volunteerism and participating in awareness programs, in addition to joint contribution to organizing awareness activities and programs to serve community members. On this occasion, Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, said: This agreement reflects the desire of both parties to achieve their common goals and emphasize continued cooperation in various fields of volunteer work. This agreement comes within the framework of the emirate's efforts to enhance social services and stimulate the spirit of volunteerism and community participation. Especially since the Sharjah Volunteer Work Center is the volunteer arm of the emirate. It is keen to strengthen cooperation with its various partners from government institutions in order to enhance volunteer work at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah. According to the agreement, the Sharjah Charitable Society is committed to offering and managing volunteer opportunities and initiatives in accordance with the guidelines, requesting volunteers, their number, and determining their tasks, in addition to inviting working or affiliated employees to register as volunteers on the Sharjah Volunteer Work Platform, in addition to activating the Volunteer Work Charter as an awareness and commitment reference. The Society is also committed to nominating A representative to be a member of the Volunteer Work Association, in addition to providing the needs of volunteer activity, appreciating volunteers, and organizing volunteer participation according to the skills required to enhance social responsibility. While the Department of Social Services, represented by the Sharjah Center for Volunteer Work, provides a volunteer platform to display the agenda of opportunities and initiatives, in addition to publishing announcements about volunteer opportunities, providing support in providing volunteers to make the opportunities and initiatives successful, providing the association with a guide for volunteer work, and training and qualifying volunteer cadres to enable them to Active participation in community service.
