His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, witnessed today, Wednesday afternoon, the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Department of Social Services and the University Dental Hospital regarding the provision of medical and dental services to elderly citizens in the Emirate of Sharjah, in his office at the university. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Department of Social Services by His Excellency Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Head of the Department, and on behalf of the University Dental Hospital, Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah. In accordance with the agreement, the two parties agree to cooperate in the following areas: 1. Strengthening frameworks for exchanging knowledge, experiences, institutional experiences, information and results of studies and statistics related to the competence of each of the two parties for the care and treatment of the elderly. 2. Cooperation in organizing conferences, workshops and specialized seminars in a way that contributes to social work and the possibility of its application in serving the elderly category targeted in this agreement. 3. Organizing joint programs and projects that support and enhance the position of the Emirate with regard to the community service sector. 4. Achieving mutual benefit through joint work to improve and develop services related to the treatment, care and care of the elderly. The agreement also included the commitments of the two parties to provide medical and dental services to elderly citizens in the Emirate of Sharjah by providing databases, training administrative cadres, following up on cases and their procedures, providing services, conducting examinations, and others.
