The Department of Social Services in Sharjah is preparing to organize the thirteenth Social Service Conference, under the slogan "Partnerships that achieve protection", on March 23-24, at the Al Jawaher Hall for Events and Conferences in Sharjah, which will be held under the kind patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Emirati and Arab personalities and leaders will participate in its activities, as well as various discussions and sessions targeting stakeholders from social institutions in the field of social protection, police, security, judicial and health authorities, and educational institutions from schools, educational centers and sports clubs, as well as NGOs concerned with protection. Realistic readings Maha Mansour Al Ali, Director of Government Communications Department in the department, said that the department has set a set of objectives represented in presenting research, scientific studies and pioneering initiatives that will have an impact on developing protection methods to contribute to providing a stable life for its members through; Exchanging experiences and knowledge towards anticipating protection systems, and the requirements for their future development in the face of potential social changes, as well as adopting a preventive protection system to reduce facing risks or threatening violations against groups at risk or abuse. The conference also aims to enhance the concerted efforts of those interested in developing a vision for the requirements for upgrading the protection system for groups most vulnerable to violence and abuse, such as children, women, the elderly, the disabled and mental patients within frameworks of flexible partnerships to meet challenges, in addition to creating opportunities for knowledge and cultural exchange between social protection institutions by benefiting from the experiences of Developed countries and their investment to develop new perceptions of protection policies. The Director of the Government Communication Department indicated that the Social Service Conference is one of the main annual events in the department's agenda, as it discusses issues in contact with our society, and the forum's logo is chosen from the daily realistic readings of officials and specialists in the departments and centers of the Department of Social Services. She noted that the conference was held virtually during the past two sessions due to the Corona pandemic and witnessed a large participation, and this year it will be held realistically, and we expect a large participation of individuals and institutions concerned with social affairs at the state level, especially since the slogan of the conference touches all spectrums of society. 3 themes The conference includes 3 axes that will be presented over two days.
