The Department of Social Services in Sharjah obtained; The Excellence Award of Dar Zayed for Family Care for the “Best Educational Service” category, as well as for the “Foster Families” category, this came during a ceremony held at the Rotana Al Ain Hotel. And detailed; Fatima Al Marzouqi, director of the Social Welfare House for Children in Sharjah; Receiving the award from His Excellency Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Board Member of Zayed House for Family Care; As part of the activities of the ceremony organized by the house to honor the supporting institutions and all winners of the various categories of the award; With the aim of encouraging creativity and innovation in the field of alternative family care at the level of agencies operating in alternative care in the United Arab Emirates. And on this occasion; Fatima Al-Marzouqi expressed her gratitude to Zayed House for Family Care, appreciating the efforts made by those in charge of the award, which will certainly have a great impact on motivating and encouraging institutions concerned with social aspects to improve their reality towards members of society, especially the children. As Marzouki crossed; Expressing her happiness that the Department of Social Services received the award in its first session, stressing that this translates and confirms the location of Sharjah in protecting and caring for children for more than three decades, which reflects the department's efforts in various societal aspects. Noting that the Department of Social Services, within its powers granted to it, works to protect the rights of children guaranteed by law through its various departments, which are represented by the Department for the Protection of Child Rights, as well as the Child Care Home that embraces children without social care, as well as the “Aman House” for caring for infants from Children of female inmates in penal and correctional institutions in Sharjah, in addition to the foster families project, through a strategy used to involve families in fostering children deprived of social care.
