The Director of the Volunteer Center stated that the initiative is one of the community initiatives implemented by the department to embody its societal role in assisting community members in various ways, explaining that the first version of the initiative was launched in 2014 with the aim of helping 14 children to reach its fifth edition in 2018 for 1500 children 3000 gifts for the two feasts, because of the good impact of the initiative on the souls of members of society and the unlimited interaction in serving the needy. Khabab emphasized that the department seeks to involve governmental institutions and the private sector in its societal initiatives, with a view to contributing to the success of the initiative and enhancing its societal role as well as increasing the awareness of individuals of the importance of social responsibility and enhancing aspects of voluntary work and mutual cooperation, as well as instilling a spirit of giving in members of society. And in turn; Hessa Muhammad Al Hammadi, Vice President of the "Joy of Eid" campaign, said that the initiative targets its partners from government institutions and the private sector with the aim of engaging institutions and entities in activating community initiatives as a kind of institutional volunteer opportunity, in addition to promoting integration and solidarity between members of society and its institutions from the public and private sectors This leads to increasing the awareness of governmental and non-governmental institutions of social responsibility and enhancing aspects of volunteer work and mutual cooperation, in addition to giving community members an opportunity to feel the role of institutions of public benefit and to instill the values ​​of social solidarity in the members of society. The idea of ​​the initiative to involve government institutions, private bodies and members of society by providing gifts of clothes and needs to children deprived of social care from the low-income group who benefit from the services of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, for each of Eid Al-Fitr and Al-Adha every year through participation in kind or cash, and that Based on the department’s keenness to achieve decent living for children deprived of social welfare. The initiative has contributed to sensing the joy of the feast, and relieving some of the burdens that may affect their joy in the feast and notifying them that all segments of society stand with them, in addition to strengthening the principle of solidarity and social cohesion by involving the community in this initiative. As for the method of participation; They are of two types: The first type is given to the participant a Joy of Eid box containing an identification card of the gender and sizes of the child, to be filled with new clothes and Eid needs, while the second type is; "Coupons" are being bought to support the initiative represented by (a child needs coupon worth 200 dirhams in addition to a holiday coupon worth 50 dirhams) by those wishing to participate in the joy of Eid. The initiative also features an awareness caravan bearing the initiative emblem that travels the various emirates of the country to explain the idea of ​​the initiative and its goals, by: visiting government institutions and private entities, by setting a special pillar for the initiative at the headquarters of the entity and receiving the requests of the participants, in addition to visiting commercial centers, and explaining the idea of ​​the initiative to visitors The center is in the corner designated for the initiative, and receiving requests from the participants, as the initiative corner will be kept for a period of 3 days during the weekend (provided that the center is on the list specified for his visit) in addition to visiting residential neighborhoods to hand over the joy of Eid fund to the participants through the means of communication Social from among members of society.
