The Department of Social Services in Sharjah held a training workshop on “Child Protection Mechanisms and the Application of Case Management”, at the Culture Palace in Sharjah, in the presence of 132 participants from the concerned and specialists and a group of community members. The workshop aims to develop the performance and raise the capabilities of workers in the field of child protection, and its employees Institutions concerned with the care of children. The workshop was presented by Mr. Sherif Bouchady, a counselor at the Social Services Department. The workshop’s axes dealt with the policies of empowering children and protecting them from various dangers and all kinds of violence, as well as child protection mechanisms within the community and its surroundings or within the government in accordance with the standards of child rights established by the "Wadima Law" or legislation International, which included a clear statement of the mechanisms that would ensure the provision of protection.
