The Department of Social Services in Sharjah launched its new strategic plan for the years 2019-2021, which included 5 strategic goals that seek to achieve the department's vision to reach a society that enjoys prosperity, security, family stability and social inclusion that embodies the vision of the United Arab Emirates in achieving the highest levels of satisfaction and happiness for different individuals the society. The strategic plan of the department was announced during the meeting held in Wasit Wetlands Reserve in Sharjah, in the presence of His Excellency Afaf Ibrahim Al-Marri, Head of the Department of Social Services, member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, and with the participation of managers of sectors, branches and departments. The strategic plan map included 5 main goals, which were represented in the first goal that included social welfare by providing living and decent life in an integrated quality, while the second goal included improving the social welfare services according to best practices, as well as the third goal that confirms ensuring the safety of vulnerable individuals and families And enjoying their rights, in addition to the fourth goal that contributes to serving and developing the community to achieve social cohesion and its awareness of social responsibility, in addition to the last goal that indicates outstanding performance by developing performance that achieves excellence in services The results are in an inspiring work environment. His Excellency Afaf Al-Marri, Head of the Department of Social Services, stated that the department, through its new strategic plan, keeps pace with the vision of the United Arab Emirates 2021, which seeks to provide a comprehensive environment that integrates into its fabric various sectors of society, and achieves social and family cohesion. She added, "We always strive to keep pace with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which he built more than three decades ago, and to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, In launching all projects or initiatives in various fields that would contribute to the advancement of society and the achievement of happiness for its members. "The strategic plan was developed by examining a number of results, the most prominent of which were the brainstorming sessions that were held with the elderly groups and the Youth Shura Council in Sharjah, in addition to the results of the proceedings of the second row of managers meeting in the Innovation Lab," she continued. Customer suggestions, complaints and notes that are received by us through various means and lines of communication; in addition to the results of employee and customer satisfaction by monitoring the results of the questionnaires that are held periodically, in addition to the scientific recommendations produced by the conferences and meetings organized by the department on an annual basis, which is the "Social Service Conference" And the “Elderly Services Forum”, the “Consultative Meeting for Child Helplines” and seminars and scientific workshops, as the department is always looking to benefit from the distinguished and varied practices at the level of its services by examining these practices and their suitability to the social reality, in addition to the returns of the MoUs. And cooperation with the department's strategic partners from governmental institutions and the private sector in achieving the department's goals and future aspirations, and among the most prominent of these partnerships is the Foresight Project For the Future of the Security Situation 2030, which was recently launched by Sharjah Police in cooperation with a number of government agencies and civil society institutions, to know future possibilities, discover the expected problems, and prepare to face them and discover capabilities.
