The Social Education Department, affiliated with the Sharjah Social Development Authority, participated with its elderly female students in the "Knowledge is Light" initiative at the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival. They presented educational workshops for school students on authentic Emirati crafts and customs, along with various heritage workshops that included bracelet making, crafting toys using palm fronds, and teaching "Talli" embroidery using the "Kajouja" tool. This participation aimed to enhance communication between generations and spread an atmosphere of enjoyment and benefit, as the grandmothers passed on their experiences and traditional values to children, a vivid embodiment of the integration between the golden generation and the new generation.
